Just back from Doyle auctions and wanted to follow-up on the items discussed earlier. The hammer price on the game table was $3,500–about right in my estimation, maybe a little on the low side. The classical sofa went for $1,500, which even with a small piece of carving missing was a great price for the lucky bidder. Finally an item not mentioned earlier and the should of, could of, would of, didn’t prize winner goes to a Philadelphia tilt-top center table which went for only $600 (plus premium).
