Watching Christie’s Interiors

Christie’s Interiors sale is in progress. We had the opportunity of previewing this auction made up of furniture and paintings from the United States and Europe. Many of the furniture pieces seemed to be in need of repair and we found most of the paintings uninspiring, but the problem may be in our tastes. Several of the early lots have gone for more than estimates, such as the rabbit painting shown. Plus, there are no reserves in this sale, making the possibility of getting a good value very real.
